Entity Description The FPGMX is one of the main organizations that support clinical genetics in Spain, both in molecular and cytogenetic analysis, offering a large number of molecular diagnostic tests for hereditary diseases. Created by Decree 451/2003, of December 26 (DOG No. 9, January 15, 2004) functionally depends on the Department of Health of the Xunta de Galicia and its mission is to develop activities related to molecular medicine, understood as the knowledge about human genes, in which various disciplines of health sciences converge and generated from the incorporation of different molecular techniques as a result of advances in the areas of human genetics, biotechnology, gene therapy, pharmacogenetics or molecular immunology, as well as the knowledge and applications derived from the human genome project. Among the distinctive features of FPGMX, the promotion of health promotion and protection activities as well as our involvement in the promotion of the development of Genomic Medicine and Personalized Medicine stands out.
Discerning value in your sector The FPGMX is registered in the Registry of Health Centers, Services and Establishments of the AC of Galicia in accordance with Decree 12/2009 of January 8 of the Department of Health and has certificates according to the EMQN External Quality Assessment Scheme for different activities Diagnostics The laboratory currently performs more than 20,000 annual diagnostic tests annually. In addition, the results of the research work carried out by the professionals of the center are immediately transferred to the healthcare field, which has allowed the FPGMX to be established as a reference center.
Entity Description A FPGMX é unha das principais organizacións de apoio á xenética clínica en España, tanto na análise molecular como na citogenética, ofrecendo un gran número de probas de diagnóstico molecular para enfermidades hereditarias. Creado polo Decreto 451/2003, do 26 de decembro (DOG nº 9, 15 de xaneiro de 2004) depende funcionalmente da Consellería de Sanidade da Xunta de Galicia e a súa misión é desenvolver actividades relacionadas coa medicina molecular, entendéndose como o coñecementos sobre xenes humanos, nos que conflúen e xeran diversas disciplinas das ciencias da saúde a partir da incorporación de diferentes técnicas moleculares como resultado de avances nas áreas de xenética humana, biotecnoloxía, terapia xénica, farmacogenética ou inmunoloxía molecular, así como o coñecemento e as aplicacións derivadas do proxecto do xenoma humano. Entre as características distintivas da FPGMX destaca a promoción de actividades de promoción e protección da saúde así como a nosa implicación na promoción do desenvolvemento de Medicina Xenómica e Medicina Personalizada.
Discerning value in your sector A FPGMX está inscrita no Rexistro de Centros, Servizos e Establecementos Sanitarios da CC de Galicia de acordo co Decreto 12/2009, do 8 de xaneiro, da Consellería de Sanidade e ten certificados segundo o esquema de avaliación da calidade externa EMQN para diferentes actividades. Diagnósticos Actualmente o laboratorio realiza máis de 20.000 probas diagnósticas anuais. Ademais, os resultados do traballo de investigación realizado polos profesionais do centro son trasladados inmediatamente ao ámbito sanitario, o que permitiu establecer a FPGMX como centro de referencia.
