The Cluster de Saúde de Galicia looks for the submission of all the essential content and functionality of its web portal are independent of the physical devices and web browsers used for this purpose, encoded with technical standards of free use and free, and accessible to browsers adapted to persons with defects or sensory impairments, motor or cognitive.

Content is in XHTML format, language hypertext composition, open standard developed and recommended by the W3C, the World Wide Web Consortium.

The elements that constitute the content (images, text, structure, links) are written accordingly to the priority level A Guidelines Web Content Accessibility of W3C.

Using style sheets (CSS, another W3C standard) to assign the presentation formats and to distribute in the contents pages and the links.

It is recommended that you use the most recent versions of browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Opera, Konqueror, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc..

The European Union, the resolution of the Council of March 25, 2002, encourages Member States to take into account the need for digital content to be accessible and, following this recommendation, the Law 34/2002, of July 11 , services of the information society and electronic commerce, provides that public authorities take the necessary measures so that the information available on their Web sites accessible to people with disabilities and the elderly, according to the criteria of content accessibility generally recognized before December 31, 2005.

Consistent with this objective, the design of the website of the Cluster de Saúde de Galicia was given the accessibility recommendations for first priority level guidelines WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) of the W3C.
